Just a few recommendations on a few of my favorite things for the home and travel.
For Home
Sonos Speakers – hands down the best and easiest to use connected speakers.
Cold Brew Pitcher – this cheap and simple pitcher is a great way to get started cold brewing at home. Cold brew has less acid and is ready to go in the morning.
Balega Running Socks – the best running socks on the planet. I’ve started wearing these everywhere actually.
Brindle Dog Bed – Memory foam bed with washable cover at an affordable price. Toby loves these things.
Pentel Graph Gear this mechanical pencil is sturdy and solid.
For Travel
Anker PowerCore Battery – Great for staying powered up on the go. Enough juice for the phone and even serves as a backup for my MacBook.
A long phone cable. I use a 10ft Anker powerline lightning cable. When you’re staying in hotels or standing in a crowd by an outlet at the airport, have a few extra feet of cable is a gift from above.
Eagle Creek Pack It Sac – these are great for keeping travel docs, etc organized. Foreign currency, Clipper Card or other transit cards, etc.
Oral-B Complete Action Deep Clean Power Toothbrush – I might be a little high maintenance, but I just can’t do a regular old toothbrush anymore. Traveling with my regular brush takes too much space in my bag especially with the charger. These are great, compact, run on AA batteries and cost about $5.
timbuk2 Parkside Laptop backpack – nothing special, just a durable, small everyday backpack great for any commute. Not what I would recommend for a backpacking trip through Europe though.
Bose Quiet Comfort 20 Noise Cancelling Earphones – Once you have traveled with these, especially on an airplane, you won’t go back. Canceling out that extra noise will help you rest better. It makes a big difference on your fatigue levels after a long journey.
